I.V.S. proudly announces it entered into agreement with Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems AG of Switzerland to sell, implement and service the RFID Library Management and Security System in Belgium.

Using the RFID-System librairies can now use the next generation of Radio Frequency Library Systems for easy identification and anti-theft-protection. A smart label attached to the book, carries a film antenna and a very small chip. It works like an intelligent radio sending out radio waves, which are detected by a reader. The new advantage is that both the reader and the label can exchange appropriate information. This makes the system very fast and efficient for librairies, especially with exit gate readers.

The University Library in Leuven has decided for this system according to the requirements of a scientific environment – in terms of a modern and open technology, the network behind, the upcoming new components and the ease of adoption to the circulation system.
