We are pleased to announce the General Release of OVID’s ERL WebSPIRS 5.02 for the Solaris and Windows NT/2000 platforms.  This release includes English, French, German and Spanish WebSPIRS 5 search interfaces in a browser of at least 800x600 resolution. WebSPIRS 5.02 also increases your searching capability and improves your results display. Additionally, overall performance has been improved to save you time while you search.

Some of the highlights of WebSPIRS 5.02 are:

- "Available from Library" text can be changed to suit your requirements.

- From: in the email address is now read only.

- Customizable results display with expand/collapse results frame

- Advanced Searching with three input boxes in advanced search mode

- Improved "Full Text/See Also" display

ERL WebSPIRS 5.02 can be downloaded, after registration, from the following location: http://www.silverplatter.com/support/registration2.html

Local customers will continue to have support for ERL WebSPIRS 5.0 for Sun Solaris, and Windows NT and 2000.

ERL WebSPIRS 5.02 gateway requirements are:

- Solaris version 7 or 8, Windows NT/2000

- 4 MB RAM per simultaneous user

- Minimum 128 MB of RAM

- 40 MB of hard-disc space

- ERL WebSPIRS 5.02 does not require an external Web Server

  and it will not prevent you from using a separate Web

  Server for other Web applications.

- IE 5.0 on Windows 98 or NT

- IE 5.5, 6.0 on Windows NT/2000

- Netscape 4.7 on Windows 98 or NT/2000

- Netscape 6.2 on Windows 98 or NT/2000
